- Strip Adventure ran Sundays in black and white.
- King Features published 6 issues of Nostalgia Comics (1972-1974). The Phantom daily adventure,"The Slave Traders" (D9/1939), was reprinted in #3 and #4. Very few of these were distributed because of a warehouse fire which destroyed most copies.
- Favorite Funnies #1 - #12 reprinted early Phantom Sunday strips without authorization from King Features Syndicate. Publication ceased because of copyright infringement.
- Menomonee Falls Gazette was first published 20 Dec 1971, and carried a broad range of comic strips. The Phantom dailies were printed with 6 strips to a page. All daily strips from 6 Dec 1971 to 13 Mar 1976 (D115-D130) were printed before publication ceased with #223.
