The Phantom:
A Publishing History in Australia

Sometime during the 1970s, Page Publications produced a series entitled Mandrake the Magician. Each issue measured 210mm x 275mm (8 1/4" x 10 3/4"), ran for 68 pages and sold for 60c. They reprinted in black and white, the Mandrake stories from the US King Comics series. Included on pages 37 to 40 of issue #1 was the four page Phantom story from King's Mandrake #4 issue, The Girl Phantom - Jungle-Trained Sister of the Ghost Who Walks.
